Responsible Decision Making

Responsible Decision Making is one of the five CASEL competencies. Responsible decision-making is defined as "The ability to make caring and constructive choices about personal behavior and social interactions across diverse situations" (CASEL).

Examples of Responsible Decision-Making Ideas:

  • Create short and long-term goals

  • Choice Assignments

  • Grading for equity - allowing students to retake tests, edit papers, and revise work
