Social-Emotional Learning

The materials and ideas on this website were created, inspired, and found by high school educators. The purpose of this website is to house social-emotional learning materials that are for general use as well as tailored to individual subjects. This website is ever-evolving as new materials are shared so that collaboration may take place across disciplines within the school.

Sharing A Love of Knowledge

"Social-Emotional Learning is build on the 5 CASEL competencies: social-awareness self-management, self-awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision making. Social-emotional learning when implemented properly may positively impact the students’ self-esteem, reduce the risks of depression, and positively impact their academic success (Reicher & Matischek-Jauk, 2017). In order to properly implement a social-emotional learning program to achieve these results, a 'whole school' approach in which all stakeholders have a voice is an optimum indicator of a program’s longevity (Tan et al., 2018)" (Spagnuolo).
